LIVE MUSIC: Merchant's Eve

Merchant’s Eve is a folk-rooted group led by Nathan Lisgo, blending storytelling, catchy melodies, and the occasional bit of oversharing (mostly via song).

For this performance, Nathan is joined by Bec Charlton, whose harmonies add warmth and depth, alongside her own carefully chosen songs that complement the set beautifully. The group also features lead guitarist Bob Stillwell, whose playing adds texture and energy when performing as a trio.

Rooted in folk but happy to wander, their music mixes dry humour with emotional honesty. Inspired by artists who tell the truth — even when it’s uncomfortable — Merchant’s Eve find beauty in the everyday. Expect songs with heart, warmth, and the odd lyrical curveball.
